This sort of glosses over the fundamental problem of the Bush administration (from the perspective of capitalism) -- Bush cannot avoid blame for the policy of 'regime change' simply because Clinton also had a policy of 'regime change.' That this is not obvious is astounding -- this faux speech assumes that the people who don't approve of Bush did approve of Clinton. What about us capitalists who believe in the power of the market rather than the power of the gun?
Cappy, if by some strange twist of fate you ever somehow become President of the United Statest of America, I could totally see you delivering a speech very much like that one. Only, most likely it would be after about two days in office.
This sums it up pretty well regarding the general publics attention span and intelligence levels. My father always said there were more horse's asses than horses...it was true then and still true today.
